As Seen on TV

By Wendy | January 12, 2009

Believe it or not, the cute mugs of Vermont Teddy Bears have been known to pop up on television now and again. And not just in our television commercials (like the ones we start running this time of year to help people find the perfect Valentine’s Day gifts). Here are a couple of places Vermont Teddy Bears have been spotted, in real and cartoon form.

Next time you watch “The Girls Next Door” on E!, be sure to look for our 15″ Playboy and 15″ Wild Playbear Bunny Bears. Officially licensed by Playboy, these Bears are most often spotted on the nightstand in Bridgette’s bedroom, where she conducts many of her on-camera interviews. Take a look over her shoulder in this clip from YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o366KEcGfF0

And who can forget when The Simpsons took a trip to The Vermont Teddy Bear Company in one of their episodes. These pictures captured from the show are some of our favorites.
Where have you seen Vermont Teddy Bears lately?

I recently purchased Jessica Strand’s book, Baby’s Room: Ideas and Projects for Nurseries published by Chronicle Books, and just wanted to let you know there is a 15 inch honey vermont teddy bear featured on pages 72, 140, and 143

Wow, nice find! I just tried to find “Baby’s Room” on Google Books, but none of those pages were in the preview, alas. Have to head down to the bookstore, I guess. Thanks so much, Evelyn!

Just wanted to let you know I had found more bears in another book. The Smart Approach to Baby Rooms by Joanne Still with the photos done by Mark Samu. There’s a bear featured on pg 44, 54, 76, and 98. Also during the Christmas holiday ABC’s One Life to Live used a Santa bear on their set. For the books you could try half.com

Thanks Evelyn! You’re a one-woman Vermont Teddy Bear scout. We really appreciate the info!
